He woke up to a sound of something crashing on the cold ice iron floor of the basement beneath him. He sat up and placed his feet onto freezing floor. He stood on his two feet still a bit tired. He yawned quietly into the hall. He went to his grand father’s lamp to flick it on but it refused. “ Power is out again.” He grumbled to himself. As He tried to find his way to the kitchen. He tripped over the coffee table standing a side the old green sofa. He caught himself using the sofa’s arm. He pushed himself up and began to go around the sofa only to stub his toe on the other coffee table which were identical to each other. He groaned in anger and pain. He limped to the dinning room passing his back door. Into a small hall area with the door to the basement sitting at the end of it. He took a deep breath and all the horror movies scenes went around in his head.

He stumbled towards it slightly trembling as he placed his hand on the door knob. He turned the knob slowly waiting for a monster or a psycho killer to spring at him. He swung the door open only to see darkness creeping it’s way up the staircase heading down. He went down one step and his insides were turning as fear strikes him. He took a breath and walked down the stairs till he got to the last step which he skipped. The moonlight peeked through the boxes stack everywhere . The boxes were stacked to the sky. He promenade through the basement ; trying to make it through using the small spaces. He halted seeing a body squatting in the corner. It seemed to have long hair and washed in blood. “ Who are you?!” He barked making his hands into fists. It looked at him and cried quietly. “ Answer me!” He snapped leaping a step forward towards it.

The figure bowed and begged “ Please don’t kill me!” He stood in there keeping his guard. “ Why are you here in my home?” He asked looking at her coldly. She glanced up at his face. She noticed that his eyes were gray and his hair was strawberry blonde. He crossed his arms and commanded “ Stand up.” She had started to begged once again. The moon light hitting his face made her fear struck worst than before.  She didn’t move  a fly and  she stayed there begging. He snapped his teeth together and repeated himself. “ Stand up!” He barked. She place her hands on the cold basement floor and pushed herself up enough to rely on her own two feet.
She stood in a nightgown with poke of dots  on it. Some were covered up by blood. “ Don’t move.” He commanded stepping back slowly from her. He studied her from head to toe. “W-Why is there blood on you?” He shuttered eyeing a her neck which had blood dripping off of it. He could tell that she was trying to gather up all of her thoughts enough to explain.

She began “ I came home and the door was knocked out of it’s frame and placed in my front yard. I took a step in and saw blood on the floor in the hallway. I was going to run to my neighbor’s house but I-” She froze and forced herself to finish her sentence. “ There was a cry from the backyard and it was my little sister’s. I ran to the back door and looked of the door’s window. That’s when I saw the creature then I saw my sister look at me and -” A sound of glass breaking discontinue the her explanation.

“ It’s here .” She whispered. He grabbed her arm and snapped . “ You brought it here ,damn idiot.” She pulled her arm from his grip and she ran trying to hide herself more into the boxes. What did this creature look like he thought to himself as he stood there in disbelief. He turned and heard something  scratching on the door of the basement. His heart  stopped in the moment. He just froze not sure what to say or what to do for the matter. He took a step back into a blood puddle left from the girl. He snapped out of it and looked at the window.

He look around only to find a broom. He pulled it out of the box with cause the box to split open. He took the broom and began to  try to shatter the window. The window only seem fracture a little in the corner. He placed the broom in hands as if it was a baseball bat. He swung and broke part of the window. He slid the broom handle across the frame. The glass that was still on the window fell to the ground. He heard the sound of breaking branches coming from the door.

The frame of the door broken and the door was sent down the stairs leaving behind paint flakes.

Interesting! <3 The woman in this piece as a mystery is wonderful. I want to know more about her! Keep up the good work.

Feedback!!

There is a lot of repetition of "He" throughout the piece. It makes it stagnant.

This sentence is a bit confusing "She didn’t move  a fly and  she stayed there begging"
